According to police reports, century-old community hall and a TMC party office in the Darjeeling hills were set ablaze by pro-Gorkhaland supporters earlier in the day as the indefinite shutdown for a separate state entered its 35th day.
Parliament session is not going to help the common people of Darjeeling.Mamata Banerjee wrote about her concern on chicken corridor which connects Assam and Northeast with rest of India.Mamata as well as Mahbooba Mufti have spoken a lot about Chinese hand in Kashmir and Darjeeling hills.
Meanwhile,Netaji Mulayam Singh Yadav declared rather quite unexpectedly that China is the enemy of India,not Pakistan.
Sikkim stand off is still heralding greater challeng to India`s security,unity and integrity while the entire Himalayan range has become quite volatile.It is reported in media that Bhutan has demanded via diplomatic channels that India and China ,both should remove ther armies frmom Dokalm.It is not official however.But it seems taht bilateral border issue between China and Bhutan has ironically become the bone of contention to create major calamity in the Himalayan region accross the border.
On the other hand ,Darjeeling burns have no impact in power circles in New Delhi as well as Kolkata even if human rights are killed,the game should contnue.

দার্জিলিং: অশান্তির বিরাম নেই পাহাড়ে। লেগেই আছে ভাঙচুর, আগুন। ফের পুড়িয়ে দেওয়া হল পুলিশের গাড়ি। হামলা চলল কার্শিয়ঙের শতাব্দী প্রাচীন কমিউনিটি হলে। প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রেই মোর্চার বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ উঠলেও, তা অস্বীকার করেছে মোর্চা। ২১ জুলাই পাহাড়ে ধিক্কার দিবসের ডাক নারী মোর্চার।
একদিকে, বনধে অনড় মোর্চা। অন্যদিকে, পাহাড় জুড়ে অশান্তির আগুন। সব মিলিয়ে বিপর্যস্ত পাহাড়বাসীর জনজীবন। মঙ্গলবারের ধুন্ধুমারের পর পরিস্থিতি বদলাল না বুধবারও। মঙ্গলবার গভীর রাতে দার্জিলিংয়ের জজবাজারে তৃণমূলের পার্টি অফিস ভাঙচুরের পর আগুন লাগিয়ে দেওয়া হয়। আর বুধবার সকালে, ওই জায়গায় পোড়ানো হয় পুলিশের গাড়ি।
অশান্তি চলেছে পাহাড়ের অন্য অংশেও। মঙ্গলবার গভীর রাতে কার্শিয়ঙের শতাব্দীপ্রাচীন, রাজ রাজেশ্বরী কমিউনিটি হলে আগুন লাগিয়ে দেওয়া হয়। দমকলের ২টি ইঞ্জিন ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছনোর আগেই পুড়ে ছাই হয়ে যায় গোটা কমিউনিটি হলটি।
ওই একই সময় কার্শিয়ঙেই, রাজ্য সরকারের একটি ট্যুরিস্ট লজের রান্নাঘরে আগুন লাগানো হয়। শুধু তাই নয়, রাতের অন্ধকারে দুষ্কৃতীরা আগুন লাগায়, কালিম্পঙের আলগারার কাগ এলাকার পঞ্চায়েত অফিসে!
এদিন সকালে পোখরিয়াবঙ্গে পুলিশের সঙ্গে গোর্খাল্যান্ড আন্দোলনকারীদের সংঘর্ষ বাঁধে! প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রেই মোর্চার বিরুদ্ধে অশান্তি পাকানোর অভিযোগ উঠলেও, তা উড়িয়ে দিয়েছে তারা। গোর্খা জনমুক্তি মোর্চার কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির সদস্য সুষমা রাইয়ের দাবি, পাহাড়ে আগুন, অশন্তির নেপথ্যে মোর্চার হাত নেই, সরকারের ব্যাপার, কারা করছে দেখুক।
এই প্রেক্ষাপটে দলীয় সমর্থকদের মৃত্যুর প্রতিবাদে এদিন দার্জিলিঙে মিছিল করে নারী মোর্চা। চকবাজারে একটি সমাবেশ করা হয়। আগামী ২১ জুলাই, কলকাতায় যখন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় শহিদ সমাবেশ করবেন, তখন পাহাড়ে ধিক্কার দিবস পালন করবে নারী মোর্চা। সুষমা রাই বলেন, পাহাড়ে অশান্তি ৯ জন আন্দোলনকারী মারা গেছে, যার জন্য ২১ তারিখ নারী মোর্চার তরফে ধিক্কার দিবস পালন করা হবে। মৃত্যুর কারণ খুঁজতে সিবিআই চাই। মমতার শহিদ দিবস পালনের অধিকার নেই।
কী হবে পাহাড়ের ভবিষ্যত? কবেই বা শান্তি ফিরবে? এখন সেই প্রশ্নগুলিই ঘোরাফেরা করছে সাধারণ পাহাড়বাসীর মনে।
