MY 155th OPEN MESSAGE TO ALL PEOPLE OF GOOD WILL

Below is a brief exchange between a representative of the Gloucestershire Palestine Solidarity Campaign in Britain and Uri Avnery, the top Israeli zionist impostor, concerning his latest article (see my comments on this article here: http://zionisttorture.blogspot.com/2010/08/my-151st-open-message-to-all-people-of.html ).

I copied the following exchange of words from the website of this PSC group in Britain( see : http://gloucestershirepsc.wordpress.com/ ). My comments are within red brackets.

"Exchange with Uri Avnery

August 24, 2010

A brief exchange with Uri Avnery, of Israeli peace group Gush Shalom, following his most recent article, accessible here: http://zope.gush-shalom.org/home/en/channels/avnery/1282429124/

(No group can be considered a genuinely just peace group under the zionist apartheid regime of Israel, unless it is opposed to zionism. The Gush Shalom group, under the leadership of Uri Avnery, the zionist impostor,is a zionist group. Its emblem is the zionist flag joined together with the Palestinian flag. How can it be considered as a peace group ? ).

—————

Dear Uri,

A couple of questions re your latest article…

1) Why do you describe the UN partition plan as "very sensible". Was not a unitary democratic state (something the UN also considered at the time) eminently more sensible, not just in theory, but – with the benefit of hindsight – also in practice? Partition, by any measure, has been disastrous for the Palestinians. This being so, could you clarify why you consider partition to have been "sensible" please.

(The partition of historic Palestine at the time when the Palestinians constituted the vast majority of the population, and most of the land belonged to and settled by them was in itself an outrageous injustice. Even a bi-national state at the time would have meant that the zionist settlers-trespassers-invaders would have been given the same status as the indigenous Palestinians, which is unjust. However, under the present conditions in occupied Palestine, a unitary democratic and non-racist Palestine, all over historic Palestine, is the most sensible ,realistic and just solution to the zionist conflict in

Palestine ) .

2) In what realm is it appropriate to describe Herzl's "vision" as "humanist"? I can't claim to be an expert on Herzl, but it's clear from just a cursory glance at the available evidence that he was well aware that establishment of a "Jewish State" would entail transfer (aka ethnic cleansing) of the indigenous population. This being so, could you clarify what you mean by "humanist" please.

Look forward to your comments.

Regards,

Joe

—————

Dear Joe,

Thanks.

The unitary state is nonsense. Have written about this often.

Herzl never advocated transfer in Palestine. His humanist vision is set out in "Altneuland".

Shalom,

uri

( To dismiss the present proposal for a one democratic state all over historic Palestine as "nonsense" is a typical reaction by a fanatical zionist like Uri Avnery. Moreover, he considers as "nonsense" this idea even before 1948, simply because he has been a follower of Vladimir Jabotinsky, the founder of fanatical zionism, all his life. No wonder he lies about Herzl too ) .

—————

Thanks, Uri. I'm left to assume you mean nonsense in practice, not theory. Correct? Regards Herzl, how then to explain the oft-cited entry in his diary: "We shall endeavour to expel the poor population across the border unnoticed, procuring employment for it in the transit countries, but denying it any employment in our own country". A momentary aberration? An unfair decontextualisation, perhaps?

Best,

Joe

—————

Dear Joe,

Thanks.

Sure, nonsense as a practcal solution.

The oft quoted words are a falsification. Before becoming Palestine-centered, Herzl thought about a state in South America. In that context, he wrote those (ugly) words.

Shalom,

uri

( Uri Avnery is lying again. He is hostile to a non-racist democratic state all over Palestine, no matter if it is practical or not. He continues to lie about Herzl too, insisting that Herzl had been a humanist, when all the evidence shows that Herzl's opinion and attitude had been akin to racism and fascism).

—————

Hi again, Uri. Thanks for the response. One final question, plus a comment, if I may…

1) You'll be aware that a relatively small group of zionists, including one Noam Chomsky, advocated a single binational state until as late as the early 70s. This seems an awfully long time to be engaged in nonsense. Did you stop to consider that binationalism might actually have been more "sensible" than partition?

(This is a wrong question for two reasons. First is that Chomsky, Like Avnery, had supported the zionist war of ethnic cleansing which resulted in the 1948 Nakba. What Chomsky has been referring to recently is that Ha'shomer Hatzair, of which he was a leader in the USA, was at times, before 1948, purporting to support a bi-national state. However, the test came in 1948, when this zionist party joined the government of Ben Gurion and actively participated in the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. Secondly, as I mentioned earlier here, it was not doing justice to the Palestinians to establish a bi-national state before 1948. However, partition was a much greater injustice, no doubt).

2) Re the Herzl quote, by "falsification" I assume you mean conscious citing to imply he was referring specifically to Palestine? Fair enough – I agree it's always important to be clear about the precise context, which I understand was Argentina in this instance. And yet, this rejoinder sits rather uncomfortably nonetheless, since Herzl's words are a clear indication of the measures he knew would be necessary to establish a settler state on land where an indigenous community was already present. In other words, the quote betrays Herzl's understanding that his settler colonial project would invariably violate the most basic right of the indigenous people, wherever they may be: the right not to have their land taken from them. There's nothing humanist about such a project, no matter how it's packaged.

Best wishes,

Joe

—————

Dear Joe,

Bi-nationalism in the 1930s was basically a plan to get Arabs to agree to Jewish mass-immigration, when we were less than 25% of the population. Noam was in the country for some time, and later had a lingering longing for this idea, which he, however, realized was quite unrealistic. I spoke with him about this several times.

Herzl was a complex person, and the subject is far more complex than meets the eye.

Shalom,

uri"

(Avnery is lying again. Rather than admitting that he was wrong in describing Herzl as a "humanist" he now avoids any further discussion of the matter by saying that Herzl was a complex person" and that the "subject is far more complex than meets the eye". ")

Uri Avnery remains the darling of the Palestinians leaders even if he would have expressly confessed to be a fanatical zionist, because these leaders, who have approved of the Raji Sourani betrayal of myself and my children to the ongoing torture by the zionist Gestapo, would approve of the betrayal of their own people too.

Obviously, with every passing day of Palestinian betrayal of my daughter, of my son and of myself to the zionist Gestapo; and with very passing day of the zionist Gestapo's ongoing deadly torture of us; and with every passing day of treachery by Raji Sourani and his cronies the Palestinian cause is diminished, the international solidarity with it is shrinking, and the Palestinian self inflicted disasters would multiply.

Under such circumstances the only hope left for us is the solidarity protests by all people of good will around the world.

I therefore ask again every reader to send immediately protest messages to the following email addresses, and with a copy to my email address (ben.merhav@gmail.com or benjaminmerhav@hotmail.com ).

1. to the Australian government (email  Julia.Gillard.MP@aph.gov.au;r.mcclelland.mp@aph.gov.au) a message along the following lines :

" I protest the continuous torture of the Australian citizen Benjamin Merhav by sleep deprivation and his daughter and son by psychiatric torture in Melbourne, Australia.

This torture is perpetrated against Benjamin Merhav directly by the clandestine arm of the State of Israel (the zionist Gestapo), and indirectly by the same culprit against Benjamin's daughter and son.

I demand that the Australian government instruct ASIO to protect these Australian citizens, and stop these terrorist crimes by a foreign government on Australian soil immediately !"

2. to ICJ-Australia and ICJ Secretariat (email president@icj-aust.org.au,chair@icj-aust.org.au,sec-gen@icj-aust.org.au,
info@icj.dk,info@icj.org
) a message along the following lines :

"I protest your refusal to investigate Benjamin Merhav's complaint against the Australian government's approval of ASIO's violation of the rule of law in Australia, regarding the continuous torture in Melbourne of himself, his daughter and his son , all Australian citizens, by the clandestine arm of the State of Israel (the zionist Gestapo).

I demand your immediate intervention to protect these Australian citizens, to stop the perpetration of these terrorist crimes In Australia, and to end these violations of the rule of law by the Australian government in Australia."

3. to the PCHR and to all the Palestinian leaders in occupied Palestine ( email
english@palestine-info.co.uk ;
pchr@pchrgaza.org
) message along the following
lines :

"I protest the betrayal of Benjamin Merhav by Raji Sourani to the zionist Gestapo's torture. I demand Sourani's replacement on the ICJ and on FIDH with a honest Palestinian patriot who would initiate protest action against the torture of Benjamin Merhav, his daughter, and his son by the zionist Gestapo in Australia.

I demand that the Palestinian leaders encourage Palestinians and their supporters to protest this ongoing terrorist torture by the zionist Gestapo, and to demand that it should stop immediately."
=====================

DISBAND NOW THE ZIONIST APARTHEID REGIME OF

ISRAEL !

A JUST SOLUTION TO THE ZIONIST CONFLICT IN PALESTINE CANNOT BE ACHIEVED WITHOUT FIRST DISBANDING THE ZIONIST APARTHEID REGIME OF ISRAEL !

FOLLOWING THE DISBANDING OF THIS RACIST REGIME, A DEMOCRATIC, NON-RACIST STATE, TO WHICH ALL THE PALESTINIAN REFUGEES WOULD BE INVITED TO RETURN, SHOULD BE ESTABLISHED ON THE ENTIRE AREA OF HISTORIC PALESTINE !

THIS SHOULD BE WRITTEN INTO THE PLATFORM OF THE BDS MOVEMENT NOW, AS THE PURPOSE OF THE INTERNATIONAL BOYCOTT OF THE ZIONIST APARTHEID REGIME OF ISRAEL !
