Colonel Ann Wright is a former United States Army colonel and a U.S. diplomat who resigned in opposition to the Iraq War; one of three State Department officials to publicly resign in protest of the March 2003 invasion of Iraq.  She was a passenger on the Challenger 1, which, along with the   Mavi Marmara, was part of the Gaza flotilla that was attacked in international waters while trying to break the blockade and take humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The US Boat to Gaza: The United States will be sending one boat on the next flotilla to Gaza which will set sail as soon as enough money is raised. Several different countries hope to take part, with the United States being represented by the 'Audacity of Hope' which will sail under the U.S. Flag.
