RD Ministry Releases ` 18.37 Crores to NBCC for Construction of Rural Roads in Bihar

RD Ministry Releases ` 18.37 Crores to NBCC for Construction of Rural Roads in Bihar

New Delhi: September 23, 2010.

 

The Ministry of Rural Development has released grant in aid worth of ` 18,37,58,600/- (` eighteen crore thirty seven lakh fifty eight thousand and six hundred only) as a project cost for construction of rural roads in Bihar subsequent to the tripartite agreement signed between National Buildings Construction Corporation Ltd.(NBCC), Rural Development Department in the Government of Bihar and the Ministry Rural Development, Government of India. NBCC will implement the program in accordance with the PMGSY guidelines as per the tripartite agreement.

Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana is a 100 % centrally sponsored scheme to provide road connectivity in the rural areas of the country. PMGSY envisages connectivity to all habitations with a population of 500 persons and above in the rural areas and about 250 persons and above in respect of the hilly states, tribal areas and desert areas through good and all weather roads.

New Delhi: September 23, 2010.

 

The Ministry of Rural Development has released grant in aid worth of ` 88,00,000/- (` eighty eight crore only) as a project cost for construction of rural roads in Bihar subsequent to the tripartite agreement signed between National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd.(NHPC), Rural Development Department in the Government of Bihar and the Ministry Rural Development, Government of India. NHPC will implement the program in accordance with the PMGSY guidelines as per the tripartite agreement.

Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana is a 100 % centrally sponsored scheme to provide road connectivity in the rural areas of the country. New Delhi: September 23, 2010.

 

The Ministry of Rural Development has released grant in aid worth of ` 46,80,22,000/- (` forty six crore eighty lakh twenty two thousand only) to Central Public Works Department (CPWD) for construction of rural roads under PMGSY in Begusarai, Darbhanga, Madhubani and Samastipur district of Bihar.

CPWD will implement the program in accordance with the PMGSY guidelines.

Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana is a 100 % centrally sponsored scheme to provide road connectivity in the rural areas of the country. The amount of ` 4,19,20,000/- (` four crore nineteen lakh twenty thousand only)y has been released as a project cost for construction of rural roads in Bihar subsequent to the tripartite agreement signed between IRCON International Ltd., Rural Development Department in the Government of Bihar and the Ministry Rural Development, Government of India. IRCON International Ltd. will implement the program in accordance with the PMGSY guidelines as per the tripartite agreement.

Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana is a 100 % centrally sponsored scheme to provide road connectivity in the rural areas of the country. Ministry of Home Affairs

Home Minister Reviews Security of Commonwealth Games

Sets Timelines for Completion of Works

New Delhi: September 23, 2010.

 

The security arrangements for the Commonwealth Games were reviewed at a meeting here today taken by the Union Home Minister, Shri P.Chidambaram. Union Home Secretary, Secretary (Sports), Commissioner of Police, Delhi, representatives of the Organising Committee and others were present.

While taking note of the delays, the Home Minister set certain timelines for the Organising Committee and other authorities to complete the works. The Delhi Police informed the Home Minister that once the venues etc. are handed over to the Delhi Police, full security will be provided and there need not be any concern about security.

The Home Minister directed that the minutes of the meeting be forwarded to the Organising Committee and others by the afternoon.
