American Eagle Droppings: A Sample by Husayn Al-Kurdi

Here are a few of the typical sayings, notions and phrases in the commonplace parlance of "America" and its Empire, gobbled up and gabbled out by the flummoxed and bamboozled corrupt minions of capitalist orthodoxy:

"The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth"

No, only the graves under the ground. The "Earth" technically and actually "belongs" to the Crusading capitalist entities, e.g. the Catholic Church and the USA Government, to name two of the very largest entities which hold "legal" title to vast tracts of land. Also, as oil magnate JP Getty remarked, the Biblical expression in no way includes the "mineral rights".

"Turn the Other Cheek"

And get your entire butt kicked.

"The Answer is Blowin' in the Wind"

If you're an Air-head.

"This Land Is Your Land"

No it isn't. See "The Meek Shall Inherit" above.

"There are No Atheists in Foxholes"

Tell it to millions of Russians who bore the brunt of the War against Hitler Germany in Europe, the millions of Koreans and Chinese who withstood the US/UN invasion in the 1950s and millions of Vietnamese who wore out the US war machine in an 18-year war of national liberation. They were among the many "atheists" who accomplished extraordinary feats in human history, including remarkable battlefield successes.

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (Bible)

Knowing the truth must be accompanied by a desperate, unflinching, heroic, bloody, determined and prolonged struggle for that knowledge to amount to anything worthwhile.

"Pick yourself up by your bootstraps"

This will land you on your head, but that's what capitalism does to you.

"The sound of one hand clapping"

One hand can make a clapping sound, unless one has some exotic HANDicap.

"Freedom Isn't Free"

If it isn't, nothing IS. But with capitalism, nothing is. The only part of the "nation" the people own is the "national debt". Debt slavery, wage slavery and tax slavery are all forms of slavery.
