I am lucky enough to be the original editorial of Bhashabandhan headed by Mahashweta Devi!Nabarunda left us but I feel him deep into my existence as I feel Viren Dangwal and Girda!I feel Akhtarazzumn Ilius,Tagore and Muktibodh ,Sharat and Premchand and Shakespeare,Tolstoy and Hugo because all of them dealt with the aesthetics of social realism which I inherit from them!
Nabarunda set the agenda of literature afresh.His Fataru world is all about Gorilla warfare to bring forth the most wanted the change in the global order to ensure equality,peace and justice.His content as well as his characters belonged to the outcaste subhumanity,urban classless SARBAHARA,HAVE NOT Humanity.
Nabarun Da wrote in poetry as well as in prose with enormous innovations in creativity of substance concentrating ,focusing on the goal to ensure the sustenance of Humanity and Nature.
Nabarun da wrote for resistance against monopolistic feudal and monopolistic imperialist aggression of greed against humanity and Nature to set the world on fire.He faced the challenges in his writings addressing every problem of Humanity and Nature as well.
Nabarunda was well aware of overwhelming governance of fascist and racist hegemony rooted in inequality, injustice and apartheid.
I am sorry to say that while Indian creative writers and poets stand united rock solid in resistance of fascism and return awards,no one belong to the species of Nabarun Bhattacharya.
