आज मंच ज़्यादा हैं और बोलने वाले कम हैं। यहां हम उन्हें सुनते हैं, जो हमें समाज की सच्चाइयों से परिचय कराते हैं।

मीडिया से जुड़ी गतिविधियों का कोना। किसी पर कीचड़ उछालने से बेहतर हम मीडिया समूहों को समझने में यक़ीन करते हैं।

कपिल शर्मा ♦ थाने में मुझे बाथरूम के अंदर ले जाकर एक मेज पर लिटा दिया गया। मेरे हाथ-पांव को चार-पांच लोगों ने पकड़ लिया। उसके बाद एक कांस्टेबल ने मेरे चेहरे पर गीला कपड़ा रखकर जकड़ दिया और ऊपर से पानी डालने लगा। ऐसे में मेरी सांस कुछ क्षणों के लिए रुक गयी और मैं छटपटाने लगा। हाथ-पैर भी दूसरों की पकड़ में होने के कारण मैं हील-डुल भी नहीं पा रहा था। उस समय मैं न तो सांस ले सकता था और न ही छोड़ सकता था। मुझे ऐसा लग रहा था मानो नदी में डूब रहा हूं और किसी भी समय मैं खत्म हो जाऊंगा।

रविकांत ♦ रवीश के लिए कोई विषय गैर-दिलचस्प नहीं होता था। अगर होता भी था, तो उसकी सहज संक्रामक मानवीय संवेदना उसमें जान फूंक देती थी। विषय चाहे जो भी हो, उसका बेचैन लकड़सुंघवा रिसर्च कुछ न कुछ नायाब निकाल कर ले ही आता था। हर जगह विषमता है, तो हर जगह राजनीति होगी ही। उसकी रिपोर्टें हमारे समय और समाज को ही समझने में मददगार नहीं होंगी, बल्कि इस दौर के बड़े मीडिया की लाज बचाने वाला आर्काईव भी साबित होगी, इसलिए उसकी हिफाजत और खुले जनपद में दीर्घकालिक मौजूदगी जरूरी है।

मनीष शांडिल्य ♦ फारबिसगंज पुलिस फायरिंग में बिहार पुलिस की दरिंदगी को बेनकाब करने वाला वीडियो 10 जून को पटना के स्काडा बिजनेस सेंटर में मीडियाकर्मिंयों को दिखाने के लिए जैसे ही चलाया गया, हॉल गोलीकांड के मृतकों व घायलों के परिवार वालों की हाय, चीख-चीत्कार से दहल उठा। ये आहें इतनी मर्माहत करने वाली थीं कि चंद सेकंड में ही वीडियो रोक देना पड़ा। पुलिस बर्बरता के शिकार लोगों के ये परिजन अपना दर्द सुनाने फारबिसगंज से पटना आने को इस कारण मजबूर हुए थे क्योंकि बिहार का सत्तारूढ़ राजनीतिक नेतृत्व न ही उनका दर्द समझने उनके पास गया और न ही उसने राजधानी से उनके जख्मों पर मरहम लगाने की ऐसी कोई गंभीर कोशिश की जिससे कि खौफ और असुरक्षा के साये में जी रहे ग्रामीणों का भरोसा कुछ बहाल हो।

भूपेन सिंह ♦ दो जुलाई को वाम-लोकतांत्रिक पहलकदमियों पर भरोसा करने वाले ज्यादा से ज्यादा लोग हेम के शहादत दिवस पर मौजूद रहेंगे। याद रहे कि यह कार्यक्रम पत्रकारिता की रैडिकल धारा को पहचानने जैसा है। हेम मेमोरियल कमेटी इसका आयोजन कर रही है, जिसमें हेम के साथ छात्र जीवन में साथ रहे दोस्त और कुछ हमखयाल पत्रकार शामिल हैं। यह किसी एक संगठन का कार्यक्रम नहीं है, सारे इंसाफपसंद लोगों से हम इसमें शामिल होने की अपील करते हैं। यह एकता आने वाले दिनों में वास्तविक और सच्चा लोकतंत्र स्थापित करने में मददगार होगी!

दिलीप मंडल ♦ अगर आप बिहार से बाहर रहते हैं और ऐसी खबरों को लेकर सचेत नहीं हैं, तो इस बात की पूरी आशंका है कि अररिया के फारबिसगंज में हुए पुलिसिया हत्याकांड के बारे में नहीं जानते। अगर आप पटना में हैं, तो भी यह शायद आपके लिए बड़ी खबर नहीं होगी। राज्य को हिला दे, ऐसी बड़ी खबर तो आप इसे नहीं ही मानते होंगे। मीडिया ने बताया ही नहीं कि यह बड़ी खबर है, इसलिए आपको नहीं पता कि फारबिसगंज हत्यकांड बड़ी खबर है। मीडिया का एजेंडा तय करने की ताकत की वजह से ऐसा होता है।

विनीत कुमार ♦ एक जमाने में फील्ड के जितने भी बड़े टेलीविजन पत्रकार रहे हैं, उनकी अपग्रेडिंग इसी तरह से हुई है कि वो चैनलों की एसी स्टूडियो और न्यूजरूम में आकर बरगद की तरह जम गये और वो अब चैनल के चेहरे हैं। ऐसे में रवीश कुमार को हम दर्शकों का शुक्रिया अदा करना चाहिए और खुश होकर पार्टी-शार्टी देनी चाहिए कि उन्हें डी क्लास के लोगों के बीच, गंधाती नालियों और देहों के बीच जाने से मुक्ति मिली। टेलीविजन में काम करनेवाला अधिकांश मीडियाकर्मी यही चाहता है कि वो जितनी जल्दी हो सके, फील्ड की रिपोर्टिंग से हटकर, एंकरिंग करने लग जाए और उस गुरूर में जीना शुरू कर दे कि वही चैनल का चेहरा है।

अश्विनी कुमार पंकज ♦ कटक (उड़ीसा) के पास जगतसिंहपुर जिले के पाकनपुर गांव के विजय कुमार महापात्रा को कैंसर हो गया है। वे इसी 10 जून को आचार्य हरिहर कैंसर सेंटर, कटक में भर्ती कराये गये हैं, जहां उनका ऑपरेशन होना है। साथियों से अपील है कि वे एक छोटे से गांव में रहने वाले इस गैर-मामूली इंसान को तत्काल आर्थिक मदद देकर उनके जीवन की रक्षा करें। विजय कुमार महापात्रा इसलिए गैर-मामूली इंसान हैं क्योंकि गरीबी और साधनविहीनता के बावजूद उन्होंने देश की 100 भाषाओं में पत्रिकाएं निकालने का अदभुत कारनामा कर दिखाया है। इसके लिए उनका नाम 'लिम्का बुक ऑफ रिकॉर्ड' (2007) में दर्ज भी किया जा चुका है।

बृजेश सिंह ♦ NDTV ने रवीश की रिपोर्ट को बंद करने का फैसला किया है। NDTV ने मीडिया में वैसी ही छवि बनायी है, जैसी टाटा ने व्यापार में। दोनों ने बहुत ही चालाकी से एक खास तरह की Pro people छवि गढ़ी। टाटा का ही मामला लीजिए, वो भी रिलायंस जैसा ही एक कॉरपोरेट संस्थान है लेकिन आप खुद महसूस करेंगे कि दोनों के प्रति आपके मनोभाव में अंतर होगा। TATA और NDTV, दोनों ने अपनी एक खास तरह की छवि बनाने पर काफी मेहनत और पैसा खर्च किया है। याद कीजिए Tata नमक के उस विज्ञापन को, जिसमें अंत में कहा जाता है कि मैंने देश का नमक खाया है।

दलितों के हित में काम करने का दावा करने वाले एनजीओ 'नैक्डोर' के मैनेजिंग ट्रस्टी एवं 'कदम' के सीईओ अशोक भारती ने नैक्डोर की पूर्वकर्मी वाजिदा तबस्सुम, अपनी बहन अनीता भारती और 'मोहल्ला लाइव' के एडिटर अविनाश को नोटिस भेजकर मानहानि का दावा किया है। नोटिस में अशोक भारती ने इन लोगों पर अपनी छवि के बारे में तमाम जगहों पर गलत प्रचार करने एवं बदनाम करने का आरोप लगाया है। अपनी छवि को नुकसान पहुंचाने के लिए भारती ने मानहानि के तहत ढाई लाख रुपये का दावा ठोंका है। साथ ही बिना शर्त माफी मांगने को भी कहा है। नोटिस 13 जून को भेजा गया है।
दरअसल 'नैक्डोर' से तकरीबन दस सालों तक जुड़े रहने के बाद तमाम विवाद के चलते वाजिदा नैक्डोर से अलग हो गयी थी। इसके बाद वाजिदा ने मोहल्ला लाइव पर इस संबंध में अपना पक्ष रखा था। इसी को आधार बनाते हुए अशोक भारती की ओर से नोटिस जारी किया गया है। भारती की ओर से भेजे गये कानूनी नोटिस को नीचे हू-ब-हू दिया जा रहा है।

Legal Notice of Demand

Under instructions from and on behalf of my client Shri Ashok Bharti s/o Shri Dularey Lal r/o M 3/22, 1st Floor, Model Town, Delhi- 110009. I hereby serve you with the following legal notice of demand:
1. That my client is the Managing Trustee of NACDOR Trust and Chief Executive Officer of CADAM. Both NACDOR and CADAM are social organizations which are working for the benefit of Dalits, and other marginalized sections of the society. CADAM was registered in 1995 and has been active since then and NACDOR was established in 2001.
2. That for the last about one year you addressee no: 1 duly supported by addressee no: 2 have been carrying on a vilification campaign against my client. Both of you have been going to various places, meeting various people and have been defaming my client on various forums. My client was tolerating the nonsense being stated by you addressees no: 1 and 3 thinking that you addressee no: 3 are the sister of my client and any action by my client would spoil the family atmosphere. However both of you have been unrelenting and have not left any stone unturned in defaming my client and have been making totally false and baseless allegations against my client and the organizations he has been working for.
3. That your scandalous and malicious campaign reached its peak when you addressees wrote a letter on Sarokar. Net and Mohalla Live websites with the sole intention of defaming my clients and the said letter was uploaded on the websites on June 3, 2011. The allegations made in the said letter are totally defamatory, scandalous, malicious, baseless and false. You the addressee no: 4 to scandalize the issue gave a scandalous headline stating "Kaun hein yeh log jo NGO ko gunda giroh ki tarah chalate hain" The said title itself is defamatory and the letter is defamatory per-se. You addressee no:3 by supporting all the allegations made in the said letter and not opposing the title of the letter have lent your active and passive support to the said letter and helped Ms Wajida Tabassum in her vilification campaign.
4. That the said letter and article were read by a number of supporters of my client and the said letter has defamed my client in the eyes of his supporters and has tended to lower his image in the eyes of his supporters. You addressee no: 1 and 3 deliberately with malafide intentions and with a view to defame my client have placed the same on website of addressee no: 4 and thus published the same and have not only aided and abetted the offence, but have also committed the offence ofdefamation.
5. That the desperation of you addressee no:1 has been of such a nature that you addressee no:1 have wrongly stated that you worked with NACDOR/CADAM for 10 years and in her jest for supporting you the addressee no:3 without even verifying the facts, even though the husband of addressee no:3 is the Secretary of CADAM did not even state that NACDOR and CADAM are two separate organizations and the addressee no:1 had first joined the organization CADAM in 2004 and did not work for 10 years as stated by her and during the period from 2004 to May 2011 she was working for different projects and for different organizations. The period of 10 years has been stated to deliberately mislead and demoralize the supporters and staff of NACDOR and CADAM. It is pertinent to mention that NACDOR was not even in existence 10 years ago.
6. That you addressee no:3 in your letter of 4th June 2011 have stated that you are against "parivarvaad" being perpetuated in NGO without disclosing that your husband who is residing with you in the same house is the Secretary of CADAM and is functioning as Secretary even though in full time employment of another organization named " Society for Labour and Development". Whereas sister of my client Rajni Tilak who is a well known social worker is the President of the organization and my client is also actively associated with the said organization since its formation. You addressee no: 1 and 4 are also aware of this fact however you addressees have deliberately concealed this fact to make false and defamatory allegations against my client. My client is presently not the office bearer of CADAM and this fact is very well in the knowledge of you addressees.
7. That the entire letters placed by you addressees no: 1 and 3 on the website being managed by you addressee no:4 are false, baseless and defamatory and you addressees have knowingly, deliberately indulged in false and defamatory allegations thus lowering the reputation of my client. My client has suffered immense damage to his reputation which cannot be compensated in terms of money.
8. That you addressee no:1 in your mail sent to Mr Rajesh Upadhyay have stated that you do not have proof of allegations made by you addressee no:1. From the said letter it is apparent that you addressees have made allegations against my client without any basis and without verifying the facts. You addressee no:4 in your website have stated that Ms Wajida Tabassum is founder member of NACDOR and CADAM which is total falsehood. Ms Wajida Tabassum, the addressee no:1 was never a founder member of NACDOR and/or CADAM.
9. Please note that indulging in defamation is a criminal offence punishable under Section 499 and Section 500 of the Indian Penal Code. Section500 IPC states as follows: " 500 Punishment for defamation – Whoever defames another shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with fine, or with both"
10. That the acts of you addressees fall within the definition of defamation as given in the Indian Penal Code.
11. That even though the damage to reputation suffered by my client is immense my client is restricting his monetary claim to a sum of Rs 2,50,000/- (Rs Two Lacs fifty thousand only) and calls upon you to tender an unconditional apology to my client I hereby call upon you through this legal notice of demand to tender an unqualified and unconditional apology to my client and pay damages amounting to Rs 2,50,000/- to my client within 10 days of receipt of this notice failing which my client will be compelled to lodge criminal complaint of defamation and file civil suit for recovery of damages which please note shall be at your risks, costs and consequences. Copy of this notice has been kept in my office for future record and
reference.
