Kolkata, September 2, 2010

The Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Corporate Affairs and Minority Affairs, Shri Salman Khurshid has said that a new state-of-the-art Company Law has already been cleared by the Parliamentary Standing Committee of the Ministry and all efforts will be made to pass it by the Parliament within this financial year and if possible in the winter session itself. He was addressing at an interactive meeting on 'Company Law and Corporate Governance' organized by the Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kolkata today.  Shri Khurshid called upon Kolkata based industrialists to once again take the leadership role to reap the benefit of the government's 'Look East' policy.
